DRIVE TO SURVIVE
ANIMATED FORMULA 1 TITLE SEQUENCE
Having studied a number of title sequences for different live action and animated shows as well as movies, I started with creating a checklist of concepts related to F1 that I wanted to touch upon in my title sequence. I created the final piece such that it captures the high-stakes intensity of Formula 1 racing through a dynamic mix of motion graphics and live-action elements. The limited colour palette of red, black and white in line with the Formula 1 logo added to this sense of danger and intensity.
Created in After Effects, the sequence employs a mixed media approach with bold typography, high-speed visuals, and a raw, grunge aesthetic. The gritty textures and chaotic energy evoke the danger, determination, and drama that define the sport. From concept to execution, I merged artistry with adrenaline, immersing viewers in the world of F1 from the very first frame, giving them an idea of what to expect from the show even if the viewers are not too familiar with the sport.
